The Behavioral Health Consortium (BHC) brings individuals and organizations across our state together to address pressing and critical behavioral health challenges. We encourage and empower Delawareans to develop strategies that will highlight needs our communities might not know about, expand access to services, and promote a healthier state for all of us.
The Delaware Behavioral Health Consortium (BHC), is offering reimbursement mini-grants of up to $2,500 (2 requests per fiscal year allowed) to support local, high-impact behavioral health initiatives across Delaware. The BHC is an advisory body that comprises community advocates, health care professionals, educators, law enforcement, and state leaders.
It was created by Senate Bill 111 in 2017, with the goal of addressing Delaware’s challenging and complex issues around behavioral and mental health, including substance use disorder. Senate Bill 111 was signed into law on August 16, 2017 by Governor John Carney, and the first meeting was held in October 2017. We invite stakeholders, other agencies, and members of the public to join these meetings. The goal is to obtain valued input from both experts and those with real-world experience. See our upcoming meetings below.
