With a strong belief in the importance of investing in local efforts to help enhance the quality of life, we strive to make a positive impact through our public outreach initiatives, participation in community events, and grant programs that provide funding for environmental, cultural arts and civic programs. Working Together in Our Communities Iroquois takes membership in our communities to heart.

Holding food drives to help stock the shelves of local food pantries, lending expertise to non-profit agencies, or encouraging employee involvement in local community events, are some of the many ways we try to make a positive impact. Our Community Outreach Program plays an important role in providing financial support to local non-profit 501(c)3 organizations. Requests for funding are reviewed on a monthly basis.

Funding decisions, which typically range from $50 to $250, focus on three general categories: Organizations and programs that provide educational opportunities to youth. Organizations and programs that enhance the quality of the arts in the community. Organizations and programs interested in the social development of local communities.

How to Apply for Community Outreach Funding All requests must be made in writing and should include: Description of the organization and its mission The project’s objectives and expected impact on the community The contribution requested Funding for individuals, religious or political organizations, paid solicitors and courtesy program advertising will NOT be considered. Requests can take up to two months to review and process.

Iroquois’ week-long employee campaign serves to raise awareness of the agencies supported by the United Way while having fun participating in the fundraising activities. The results typically exceed expectations! Community Grant Program - Investing in Preservation We believe that delivering clean natural gas is part of a bigger picture.

Since 1991, Iroquois has partnered with our pipeline host communities by providing unique funding programs, which empowers them to take steps to preserve their environmental heritage and increase passive recreational opportunities.

Our first program, the Land Preservation and Enhancement Program (LPEP), provided funding for more than 200 projects including the preservation of more than 12,000 acres of open space, and the creation of 22 new parks. This one-time program's success led to a 10-year successor program, the Land Enhancement and Acquisition Fund (LEAF), launched in 1995.

At its conclusion in 2006, LEAF had provided assistance in completing an additional 100 projects within our communities. Continuing our commitment to being a good corporate neighbor, Iroquois established a Community Grant Program in 2007 that provides lasting benefits to communities where Iroquois’ facilities are located.

While remaining focused on environmental and passive recreation initiatives, funding areas have been expanded to include historic preservation and targeted arts & culture. Applying for an Iroquois Community Grant If your organization is developing a community or environmental initiative designed to provide long-term, lasting benefits, we invite you to contact us for possible funding under Iroquois’ Community Grant Program.

This competitive-based program, with grants ranging from $2,500 to $10,000, is reserved exclusively for communities where Iroquois facilities are located. Priority is given to those proposals that meet established criteria and rank high with the program’s intent.

Local, state and county governments of pipeline host communities Tax-exempt, not-for-profit environmental organizations and land trusts Private tax-exempt organizations under IRS Section 501(c)(3) Only those projects being proposed in a community in which Iroquois facilities are located will be considered for funding.

Environmental Initiatives (Preservation, Enhancement, Education) and Passive Recreation Historic Preservation, Civic & Community, Targeted Arts & Culture Grant Application Deadlines Full Grant Application Deadline If dates fall on a weekend or holiday, proposals will be accepted on the following workday. Hard copy proposals must be received by Iroquois on or before the deadline date.

Email submissions must be received the day prior to the deadline to allow for confirmation of receipt.
