We focus on people who have not always had equal access to services. The Community Partnership Grant gives money to local programs that improve the health and well-being of Boulder County residents. This funding helps people succeed, strengthens neighborhoods, and builds a stronger future for our community.

In 2024, we changed the name of this grant from the “Human Services Safety Net Grant” to the “Human Services Community Partnership Grant. ” The new name highlights our focus on partnership, as well as the variety of funding sources that support this program.

Across Boulder County, our Community Partnership Grant recipients are making a difference from helping families access food and child care to supporting survivors of domestic violence. Each month, we’ll highlight two local partners and share how their work is helping meet essential needs and strengthen our community. Since 2017, our funding has focused on four main areas: Housing and Homelessness Prevention Programs that help people find housing and keep it. Examples include rental help, legal help, shelter, and paths from homelessness to housing. Education and Skill Building Programs that support learning at any age.

Examples include child care, tutoring, and job training. Programs that improve physical, mental, and behavioral health. Examples include health care, counseling, food help, and wellness activities.

Individual and Family Supports Programs that improve safety, stability, and daily life. Examples include Family Resource Centers, financial help and coaching, legal help, safety from violence, and community connections. We award Community Partnership Grant (CPG) funding through a competitive process, choosing projects that fit our goals and priority areas.

The CPG uses money from three county funds: Fund 132: Human Services Safety Net Mill Levy (HSSN) Fund 101: General Operations Fund In 2024, Boulder County awarded $7. 9 million to 27 nonprofits to support services in 2025 and 2026. To help meet growing demand for safety net services, the Boulder County Commissioners approved a 5% increase for all current CPG awards in 2026.

2027 Community Partnership Grant Funding Boulder County Human Services is accepting applications for about $8. 5 million in Community Partnership Grant funding for 2027. These one-year grants support nonprofit programs that help Boulder County residents find housing, stay healthy, and build stable lives.
