Community Betterment Funding Grant Program Community Betterment Funding Grant Program ETC supports communities throughout the United States by awarding cash grants annually to non-profit entities. A diverse committee of ETC employee volunteers reviews applications and selects grant recipients.
Grants awarded through ETC’s Community Betterment are modest and limited to a maximum of $5,000 in order to distribute funding to a variety of worthy causes. Meeting qualifications and applying does not guarantee an award. The Committee typically receives more applications than can be funded.
ETC may partially fund any application at its discretion. To apply for funding, applicants must be based in the United States and meet one of the following: A 501(c)(3) non-profit residing in the United States. Accredited public or private school/university residing in the United States.
Federal, state, or local government as defined in section 170 (c) of the IRS service code. ETC’s philanthropy will not fund: Organizations that discriminate based on race, religion, creed, national origin, disability, age, sexual orientation or any other basis prohibited by law. Staff salaries, artist fees, stipends, or remuneration or reimbursement to individuals or groups.
Scholarships for individuals or groups. Travel for individuals or groups. The purchase of lighting equipment.
Athletic teams or any type of athletic competition. New construction and/or renovation of existing facilities. Any type of event, dinner, or gala.
Any political candidate or causes. Religious organizations other than for specific, non-sectarian, social welfare services. Advertising and/or “corporate sponsorship” in fund raising avenues including silent auction, raffle/door prizes, printed materials.
