Community Programs Funding is sponsored by Community Foundation of Central Georgia. Nonprofit and faith-based organizations running community outreach or quality-of-life projects in Georgia's Central region can apply for grants.

Macon-Bibb County Government Community Foundation of Central Georgia Awards More Than $345,000 in Grants to Nonprofits Serving Central Georgia The Community Foundation of Central Georgia (CFCG) announced today that more than $345,000 in grants have been awarded to nonprofit organizations serving communities across the region through its 2026 Nonprofit Grant Program cycle.

The announcement was made during a celebration event held at Fire Station #3 in Macon, where CFCG board members, nonprofit recipients, community leaders, and partners gathered to recognize organizations making a meaningful impact across Central Georgia.

“These grants reflect the generosity of our donors and their deep commitment to strengthening communities across Central Georgia,” said Kathryn Dennis, President of the Community Foundation of Central Georgia. “We are proud to support organizations that are meeting urgent needs while also building long-term opportunities for the people they serve.

” “Today’s theme is ‘Standing in the Gap: Community Uplifting Community,’ at its core that idea reflects the very best of who we are as a community,” said Steve Kruger, Board Chair of the Community Foundation of Central Georgia. “There are moments when people face unexpected challenges, everybody here is going to have them. In those moments, people in our community step forward, they make a difference.

They serve; they stand in that gap and bridge that gap for others. ” The Nonprofit Grant Program provides funding to organizations addressing key priorities across CFCG’s 21-county service area.

This year’s grants will support a wide range of initiatives, including emergency assistance for families impacted by house fires, expanded healthcare access for uninsured residents, youth mentorship and workforce development programs, and critical home repairs for vulnerable homeowners.

Funded projects include support for the American Red Cross to provide immediate relief to families displaced by home fires, Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia to launch a new medical assistant training program and Prevent Blindness Georgia to deliver vision care services to more than 1,100 students in Bibb County schools.

Additional grants will enhance youth programming through Boys & Girls Clubs, expand affordable housing efforts with Macon Area Habitat for Humanity, and strengthen food, clothing, and housing support services across the region.

CFCG Nonprofit Grants – Alphabetical List (Media Version) 2026 CFCG Nonprofit Grant Recipients Alternative Newsweekly Foundation on behalf of Notivision Georgia – Bienvenido to Central Georgia – $24,000 Produces five bilingual video modules and 2,500 pocket guides explaining how to navigate schools, healthcare, courts, and government services for Spanish-speaking residents.

American Red Cross of Central Midwest Georgia – Home Fire Financial Assistance – $14,000 Supports trained volunteers who respond to home fires and provide same-day financial assistance for hotel stays, food, and clothing, helping families stabilize within the first 24–48 hours.

Be Eccentrich Inc. DBA Eccentrich Displays Inc – Verses N Da’ Valley: Celebration of Poetry Festival – $5,500 Supports a multi-day poetry festival in Fort Valley featuring performances, workshops, a mural tour, and community open mic events.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia – Enhancing Safety & Security at the King-Danforth – $20,500 Installs controlled-access doors, safety glass, cameras, and protective barriers to improve daily safety for youth and staff. Boys & Girls Clubs of Laurens & Johnson Counties – Gym Floor Repainting & Restoration – $10,000 Resurfaces a worn gym floor with durable epoxy to improve safety and support daily youth programming.

Crossroads Christian Counseling Center – $20,500 Funds computers, furniture, and outreach materials while providing financial assistance for counseling services to uninsured clients. Families and Youth Innovation, Inc. – Pathways to Purpose – $10,000 Supports a six-month program for 20 students including mentorship, college visits, career exposure, and financial literacy training.

Restocks essential supplies including children’s clothing, diapers, shoes, and hygiene products following hurricane response efforts. Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia, Inc. – Expanding Healthcare Training and Covering Our Mission in Macon – $20,500 Launches a medical assistant training program and funds roof and HVAC upgrades at Helms College.

Houston County Volunteer Medical Clinic – Survival to Sustainability – $24,000 Expands services through additional staff and extended hours to meet increased demand from uninsured patients. Macon Area Habitat for Humanity – Homeownership Opportunities at 690 Holt Avenue – $19,500 Prepares land for two new homes, expanding affordable homeownership opportunities.

Museum of Arts and Sciences – MAS Educational & Cultural Programming – $21,500 Supports exhibitions, field trips, and digital programming for students and families. Oconee Community Mentoring Association – Youth Empowerment Through STEM & Mentorship – $9,000 Provides robotics instruction, tutoring, and mentoring through hands-on STEM programs.

Prevent Blindness Georgia – Circle of Vision Care for the Children of Bibb County – $24,000 Delivers vision screenings, exams, and eyeglasses to 1,170 students directly in schools. Rebuilding Macon, Inc. – Minor Home Repairs – $10,000 Funds accessibility and structural repairs such as ramps, flooring, and roof fixes for vulnerable homeowners.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia – Share a Night – $10,000 Provides overnight lodging for families with children receiving medical treatment. Stable Housing and Special Needs Agency – SHASNA Annual Resource Expo & 10 Step Program – $23,000 Supports families transitioning from hotels into stable housing with wraparound services and programming.

The Mentors Project of Bibb County, Inc. – $10,000 Provides structured mentoring, including life skills development and enrichment programming for at-risk students. The Methodist Home for Children and Youth – Team Training and Development – $10,000 Funds staff training and development to improve care quality and reduce turnover.

Twin Cedars Youth and Family Services, Inc. – Therapeutic Foster Care Visitation Project – $10,000 Creates a centralized visitation space to support family connections for children in foster care. Warner Robins Past Master’s Council – Community Care Expansion Project – $7,500 Expands distribution of meals, clothing, hygiene kits, and school support to more than 1,100 families annually.

Word of Life Worship Center – Neighbors Helping Neighbors – $10,000 Supports a weekly food and clothing distribution program serving families across Middle Georgia.
