Community Resource Development Funds - MonmouthCares Community Resource Development Funds Community Resource Development Funds MonmouthCares Announces Community Resource Development Fund Awardees MonmouthCares is proud to announce that our FY27 Community Resource Development funds have been awarded to Navicore’s Pathways to Financial Independence Program and the Champions of Life Program run by NJ Give a Kid a Dream.

Both programs will receive $33,848. 50 for programming beginning July 1st, 2026, through June 30th, 2027. Please note the deadline to apply for these funds have passed for FY2027.

We anticipate we will open another Request for Proposals in October 2026. Thanks to $67,697. 00 in funding from the New Jersey Children’s System of Care, MonmouthCares is able to offer this Request for Proposals to our community organizations who are providing services to youth impacted by emotional, behavioral, intellectual, neurodiversity or substance use challenges.

Proposals may support an existing program or a new program that reduce risks to youth and directly promote well-being, safety, health, and connections at home and in the community. All awards are contingent on the sufficiency and availability of state funding. Funding is for one year starting July 1st, 2026 and must be spent by June 30, 2027 .

MonmouthCares intends to fund 1-2 projects with these funds. Projects must benefit youth up to 21 impacted by emotional, behavioral, intellectual, neurodiversity or substance use challenges and may include caregivers. Projects should promote the resiliency of youth and families in communities that are disproportionately impacted by the social determinants of health (SDoH).

Proposals must be for in-person activities.

Projects must focus on one or more of the following areas that were identified by our enrolled youth: Life Skills such as cooking, respectful debate, financial education and empowerment, and preparation for adulthood Peer Support and Anti-Bullying Therapeutic interventions including Animals Therapeutic interventions involving the Creative Arts Applicants must agree to work in partnership with MonmouthCares to submit comprehensive reports as dictated by the Children’s System of Care in the fiscal year the funding is year applied for as well as a site visit by MonmouthCares and a group of chosen reviewers.

Program performance reports including level of service, outcomes, and quantifiable deliverables. All applications will be reviewed and scored via a panel that may consist of MonmouthCares’ staff and Board Members, local Children’s System of Care Partners, and members of the Monmouth County Children’s Interagency Coordinating Council (CIACC). Final approval of selected projects is subject to approval by the NJ Children’s System of Care.

Proposals are due no later than 12:00 noon, December 29th, 2025 and must be submitted electronically the Community Resource Development Funds Application Portal , which can be located on MonmouthCares. org . Handwritten, hard copy, late, incomplete, or proposals that are submitted via email will not be accepted.

Successful applicants will be notified in May 2026 with a project start date of July 1st, 2026. The Deadline to Submit Proposals for the 2026-2027 Grant Cycle has Closed. Please check back in October of 2026 for another opportunity.
