The Community Security Grants Program (CSG) provides funding support for target hardening and physical security enhancements to Jewish organizations within Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Highland Beach.

The increase in antisemitism has led us once again to reassess our needs and investment in security across our Jewish community. The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County, our synagogues and agencies are focused on a proactive approach that takes into account our institutions’ diverse interests and organizational missions.

Together, we can foster a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and vigilance, ensuring that all Jewish organizations operate safely and securely.

Apply For Community Security Grant Through the 2026 Community Security Grants Program (CSG), the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County (JFSPBC) provides Community Security Grants to enhance our community’s security profile and empower organizations to contribute to communal resiliency.

The CSG provides funding support for target hardening and physical security enhancements to Jewish organizations within Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Highland Beach. This grant is for technology and equipment, not security personnel. Funding is based on the proposed project’s ability to mitigate the risk factors identified in the grant application.

It is a goal of the South Palm Beach County Jewish Community Security Initiative to identify and assess any potential threats to our community. It is extremely important to report incidents as soon as you witness them. Keep in mind, we are collecting all information that affects our community related to antisemitic behavior and acts.

Please use this form to report all suspicious activity and antisemitic acts. This information will be reviewed and shared with appropriate local, state and federal law enforcement for action and resolution. We are undertaking this effort in partnership with Secure Community Network (SCN).

SCN is the national safety and security organization that works to implement best practice security programs on behalf of Jewish institutions and communities across the U.S. If you SEE something, SAY something!

Suspicious activities, people and vehicles Unusual events or incidents Suspicious communications (text messages, phone calls, voicemail messages, emails, letters or packages, etc…) PLEASE NOTE: Report true emergencies to police via 911 immediately. Training Courses & Consultations This training will identify and explain the levels of situational awareness through lecture as well as scenario-based learning.

It will provide practical skillsets to enhance your situational awareness, allowing you to better protect yourselves, your organizations and your facilities. This training enables individuals to enhance their own safety and security against various situations, from active threats to everyday crime.

Countering an Active Threat Program Our goal will be to educate our community on how to “Commit to Action” if faced with encountering an active threat. This program exposes you to national best practices that provide tangible instructive material to be utilized at work or in everyday life.

The core objectives include: Know the definition of an Active Threat Know the difference between security and safety Have a better understanding of Active Threat incidents Identify and explain the three modes of action during an active shooter incident: RUN, HIDE, FIGHT Understand how to prepare for an active threat event Know how to respond to law enforcement’s arrival Understand the importance of additional training Generously underwritten by the Goldberg Family In an emergency, a person who is bleeding can die of blood loss within five minutes; knowing how to control bleeding can save your life or the life of someone near you.

This course – appropriate for all audiences – offers training in basic bleeding control techniques such as direct pressure, wound packing and tourniquet application. This course is a part of the national “Stop the Bleed” campaign, initiated by a federal interagency workgroup convened by the National Security Council Staff, The White House.

The purpose of the effort is to build national resilience by better preparing the public to save lives by raising awareness of basic actions to stop life-threatening bleeding following everyday emergencies as well as both man-made and natural disasters. In 2022, Jeff and Nicole Goldberg provided a significant philanthropic gift to underwrite Stop the Bleed® kits for use in emergency response and community training.
