Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) - PA Dept. of Community & Economic Development Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) program is a federally-funded block grant that provides funds to eligible nonprofit community-based organizations or governmental entities that work to ameliorate the causes and conditions of poverty in disadvantaged and low-income communities across Pennsylvania.
Guidelines and the CSBG Two-Year State Plan detail specific state priorities. Typical uses include: Drug and alcohol counseling Must be a federally recognized Community Action Agency. Based on entitlement formula.
One-year grant awards. Applicants must demonstrate ability to implement and sustain projects, assure community-level linkages, and effectively manage project budgets.
