Keep Maryland Beautiful Grant Program Accessibility Information Keep Maryland Beautiful Grant Program Maryland Environmental Trust in partnership with the Maryland Department of Transportation , Maryland Department of Agriculture as well as the Chesapeake Bay Trust presents the Keep Maryland Beautiful Grant Program.
Grants through the Keep Maryland Beautiful program help volunteer-based, nonprofit groups, communities and land trusts in Maryland to support environmental education projects, litter removal, citizen stewardship and to protect natural resources in urban and rural areas.
Combined, this partnership has provided more than a million dollars over the past three decades to nonprofits, schools, land trusts and volunteer-based programs that work to protect natural resources while enhancing the lives of Maryland citizens and generations to come. The application period has closed. The Community Stewardship These grants are available to nonprofits, schools and municipalities.
These grants are available to Maryland local land trusts. Tree Planting on Agricultural Lands Projects on individual private, commercial private, community-owned, nonprofit, and government owned property are eligible for funding. Grant Application Details Important Dates and Details Applications must be submitted online (Opens September 1).
Begin the application process . The Application deadline is December 1, 2025. Funds are to be used from March 30, 2026 -February 28, 2027.
Award winners will be announced on March 20, Keep Maryland Beautiful Day. Grant money will be received by April 15, 2026. Grant Receipt Forms must be signed and returned within one month of receiving grant money.
