To be eligible to apply for funding, you must: Be a local IRS-certified non-profit organization in good standing Provide programs and/or services to City residents Provide basic needs, services or support to Durango community members Be able to demonstrate good financial management Basic needs for the purposes of this application are defined as: childcare, food security, health care, housing, life skills, mental health support, and persons with disabilities support.
There are a total of $308,750 grant dollars to be awarded this year. In 2024, United Way of Southwest Colorado saw 25 applications with a total request amount of $360,000. Please take these figures into account when crafting your application.
