Community Support – Wilmington City Council Wilmington City Council has long recognized the value of providing support to local non-profit organizations and community-driven initiatives that contribute substantially to the well-being, development, and growth of the Wilmington community. As with all taxpayer funds, the public deserves to know that funds are going to organizations with the capacity and integrity to provide quality services. To help fulfill this dream, Council offers scholarships to eligible students and families.

com/g/aXqWAy8HG3 Students must submit an application request to their district representative and/or At-Large member detailing their background, educational pursuits beyond high school, and current circumstances regarding eligibility, need and merit. All 13 members of Council have dedicated dollars for scholarships and make independent decisions regarding awards. Scholarship awards range from $200 – $5,000.
