Community Support Grant Program is sponsored by Community Foundation of Mendocino County Inc.. Offers funding for local educational opportunities and public events that benefit the community in Mendocino County. Churches with community programs that align with the foundation's mission could be eligible.

Grant Programs - Community Foundation of Mendocino County The Community Foundation of Mendocino County provides grant support in many areas of community life including, but not limited to: education, the arts, community health, alleviation of poverty, youth, and the environment.

The Community Foundation’s annual competitive grant process seeks proposals from nonprofit organizations that are based in Mendocino County or from any organization with a project that has specific benefit to Mendocino County residents. Grant applications vary from program to program and are posted when grants are available. You may also contact our office for current requests for proposals.

Abramson Endowment Fund for the Visual Arts The primary purpose of the Fund is to encourage artist-community partnerships and support works by accomplished local visual artists in public places located in the northern section of the Mendocino Coast. American Youth Services Grant Program The American Youth Services Fund was established in 2022 to continue the legacy of the American Youth Services nonprofit organization.

The primary purpose is to make grants to Mendocino County nonprofits that encourage personal enrichment exploration among disadvantaged youth and adults within group experiences in the natural environment. The primary purpose of the Fund is to provide assistance for families, children, and elderly individuals who have short-term needs that cannot be met by other private or public programs.

Arts in the Schools Endowment Fund The Fund was created by the Community Foundation through a public campaign in 2010 and 2011 that raised money to support arts education in K-12 schools in perpetuity. Blood Bank of the Redwoods Legacy Fund The primary purpose of the Fund is to ensure a stable blood supply through outreach, education, and youth engagement. Charles F.

Flinn and Walker B. Tilley Fund for Sustainable Forestry The primary purpose of the Fund is to maintain and enhance the economic, social, and environmental values of Mendocino County’s working forests and range lands.

Community Enrichment Grant Program The primary purpose of the Community Enrichment Grant Program is to support the enrichment of local communities in Mendocino County with a focus on the five following funding areas: sense of place, environment, healthy communities, education, and arts and humanities.

Community Resiliency and Preparedness Fund The primary purpose of the Fund is to support effective, realistic, and coordinated planning, reduce duplication of efforts, and increase the overall effectiveness of disaster preparedness and community resiliency activities in our communities.

Community Support Grant Program The primary purpose of the program is to support public events or educational opportunities for charitable organizations and/or the broader community through Community Support grants.

COVID-19 Nonprofit Relief Grant The primary purpose of the COVID-19 Nonprofit Relief Grant Program is to mitigate some of the unique difficulties faced by the nonprofit sector in Mendocino County as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
