Community Partners - Platte County Board of Services Community Support Partners PCBS collaborates with a variety of organizations in the Kansas City area in effort to ensure people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities at all stages of life have access to variety of services and support. For the first time in our history, PCBS has approved more than $1. 2 Million in funding to support our Community Partners for 2026.

Serving thousands of individuals and their families annually, Ability KC is the longest-standing comprehensive outpatient medical rehabilitation facility in Kansas City that is nationally accredited and recognized as a leader in value-based care. Center for Human Services Center for Human Services is a non-profit organization serving people of all ages across Missouri.

CHS’s primary services help individuals develop their skills to overcome physical, mental, and financial challenges. They do this by providing resources and services for childcare and education, jobs, therapy, housing, counseling, and socialization.

Down Syndrome Innovations Down Syndrome Innovations, formerly Down Syndrome Guild of Greater Kansas City (DSG), was founded in 1984 by a group of parents who shared a vision to support families experiencing the birth of a child with Down syndrome. Down Syndrome Innovations is your trusted source for life-changing services for people with Down syndrome, their families, and communities.

Easterseals Midwest provides exceptional services, education, outreach, and advocacy so that people with disabilities can live, learn, work, and play in our communities. From autism parent training workshops to job training, Easterseals offers autism resources, community living support, employment training, and early childhood services to change the way the world defines and views disability.

The Farmer’s House provides junior high and high school students early work experience and the opportunity to explore and engage in hands-on experiences in a variety of vocations which include our retail markets, gardens, commercial kitchens, and property maintenance. The goal of the vocational experience is to increase the likelihood of obtaining competitive employment.

Hulme Resources Inc. provides a unique and creative set of person centered services and supports that are available through a Medicaid Waiver, or other state and local funding streams.

Some of the more specialized services we provide are IEP coaching, Transition Planning, Health and Nutrition Coaching, Safety Awareness Coaching, Benefits Planning, Alternatives to Guardianship Consultation, Connection to Communities, and Support Broker for Self Directed services. We do all of this by educating, empowering, and ensuring a barrier-free path to a great quality of life!

Northland Early Education Center (NEEC) Northland Early Education Center provides early education and therapy services for children who have special needs and typical needs in a fully inclusive classroom environment in order for them to reach their full potential.

Our team of teachers and therapists serve students from birth through 5 years old and our before & after/summer school program which serves students with special needs up to fifth grade. Northland Connections, Inc. is a not-for-profit agency established in 2021 to provide evidenced-based, therapeutic services to individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities and their families.

Northland Connections’ mission is to support a high quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities by strengthening their connections with self, others, and the community. Northland Therapeutic Riding Center The mission of Northland Therapeutic Riding Center is to improve the quality of life for persons with special needs through equine assisted activities and therapies. Giving HOPE to their future one ride at a time!

Platte County Connections The purpose of Platte County Connections (Connections) is to secure resources that support Platte County Board of Services in maximizing the quality of life of Platte County residents who have a developmental disability and their families. Connections also provides in-home respite for persons with developmental disabilities.
