All city services now simply available on one page Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) is one of the largest federal programs that supports neighborhood stabilization and improvements in Jackson. The Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) manages CDBG funds to benefit low- and moderate-income residents, improve infrastructure, and expand community services.
CDBG funds are directed to projects that reduce blight, improve public facilities, and expand opportunities for underserved residents. Street and sidewalk improvements in low-income neighborhoods Blight elimination and demolition of unsafe structures Public services for seniors, youth, and low-income households Small business support, including façade improvements Projects must primarily benefit low- and moderate-income residents.
Nonprofits, public agencies, and community organizations may apply as subrecipients. All activities must meet HUD national objectives.
