As of April 22, 2026, we are no longer accepting Level 2 project applications, and applications for DC Fast Charging (DCFC/Level 3) projects are paused until further notice. Current Level 2 and DCFC projects on the waitlist will remain in queue based on the original date received.

These infrastructure incentives can lower costs associated with preparing your site for EV chargers and receiving electric service from our energy grid.

1: Program Discovery & Application Submission Our teams will review your application and send a letter if your project is eligible for incentives. Please note that this letter is not a commitment to incentives for your project. Once the eligibility letter is sent, you will need to upload Customer Letter of Authorization, Charger Cutsheet, One Line Diagram, Site Plan, and Load Letter to the PowerReady Portal.

Program/Participant Guide Device Eligibility and other Important Information PowerReady Program Fact Sheet Con Edison engineers will review the submitted documentation in order to verify capacity at the site and issue a ruling. This ruling will indicate if a site needs upgrades (Service Inadequate) or does not need upgrades (Service Adequate).

Depending on the ruling, additional steps may follow such a site visit with a Customer Project Manager and a cost estimate for Con Edison to complete this work. The utility side costs are covered under the incentive! After receiving the ruling, you will need to provide estimates on your costs.

Our team will review your costs and compare against similar projects submitted within that service area and site characteristics. Once estimates have been submitted and the team has no questions, a Program Agreement will be generated for your signature. Please note, funds are not committed for your project until the Program Agreement has been signed by both you and Con Edison.

References and guides for your engineering review: Letter of Authorization Template 3: Program Agreement & Construction Once we confirm the details of your project, you will be provided with a Program Agreement with an incentive determination for signature. Project construction can begin after the Program Agreement is signed by both parties.

Once the construction is completed and the chargers are energized, you will need to submit Closeout documentation, as noted below, and your final costs.

Con Edison will verify the work is completed to project specifications. If you have additional questions, please email us to set up a call to discuss the program. How long will it take to get my eligibility letter? Typically, it would take approximately two weeks to receive your eligibility letter.

However, due to the program's limit on the number of plugs able to be incentivized, eligibility letters will be sent only to projects that are allowed to progress. The letter is the first step in the program process and states whether the project meets the program's eligibility requirements and which incentive tier applies to the project.

It is not intended to be a commitment to fund your project, which happens when you sign your Program Agreement. How long will it take to get a service ruling? Most service rulings are returned in approximately 30-40 calendar days if all documentation is submitted and complete Rulings may take longer if the project is very complex or involves a high load request.

What equipment is eligible? Eligible equipment includes material and labor related to installing or upgrading infrastructure to bring power to the charging station on both the utility and customer side of the meter. Please note that chargers are not eligible.
