Core Grants Programs — The Seybert Foundation The Seybert Foundation supports organizations working to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged children and youth in the City of Philadelphia. Our grants are made in the form of General Operating Support to those organizations whose missions align with that of the Foundation.
Established under the Will of Henry Seybert, and chartered in 1914 as the Adam and Maria Sarah Seybert Institution for Poor Boys and Girls of Philadelphia, the Seybert Foundation directs its giving primarily to community-based organizations in the City of Philadelphia providing direct services to disadvantaged children and youth, with annual operating budgets of less than $1. 5 million.
During the 2025-2027 grant cycle, the Seybert Foundation awarded grants to 26 organizations. The Seybert Foundation is no longer accepting applications for the 2025-2027 Core Grants Program. The next Core Grants application cycle is scheduled to reopen in Spring 2027.
REQUESTS- All requests must be for General Operating Support, so please do not request funds for a specific program or project. AMOUNTS- Core Grants will be for $20,000 over a 2-year period ($10,000/year).

CORE GRANTS APPLICATION- The Seybert Foundation is no longer accepting applications for the 2025-2027 Core Grants Program. The deadline to submit applications was 5:00 PM EDT on Friday, May 30, 2025. The next Core Grants application cycle is scheduled to reopen in Spring 2027.
REPORTING- Grantees are required to complete both an interim mid-grant report and a final grant report during the course of the grant period. INTERIM REPORT – *Due June 1, 2026 by 5 PM ET* All grantees that received a Core Grant for General Operating Support are asked to submit an interim grant report between the first and second year of funding.
The 2025-2027 Interim Grant Report form is linked here and was also sent via email to the grant contact for each organization in Spring 2026. The deadline to submit the interim grant report is Monday, June 1, 2026, by 5 PM ET. FINAL REPORT – All grantees that received a Core Grant for General Operating Support are asked to submit a final grant report at the end of the second year of funding.
The report will be posted here and sent to grantees in the Spring of the second year of funding.
