Montana Biotechnology Center Discovery & Innovation Resources The Prototyping and Characterization Core Facility (PROTECH) The Prototyping and Characterization Core Facility (PROTECH) Core vouchers may be available to University of Montana researchers which do not have available funding but would like to use the services of PROTECH.
This can be useful for small pilot studies and experiments which may lead to future funding opportunites or projects. Eligible parties may contact us for information and to inquire whether core vouchers are currently available for your project.
2026 Murdock Trust Pilot Project Award Through funding by the Murdock Trust, PROTECH will provide seed funds to support pilot projects focused on innovative research utilizing the core's new Quantum X Bio 2PP 3D printer, in alignment with the mission of BIOTECH and PROTECH. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed as they are received.
Funding will be awarded until available funds are exhausted or the final application deadline of August 31, 2026, whichever occurs first. Early submission is encouraged. Click here to view the call for proposals and fact sheet for information on how to apply.
