At CoreCivic, we believe we have a responsibility to help better the public good . One way we do this is through the CoreCivic Foundation, which serves as the philanthropic arm of our organization. The CoreCivic Foundation's primary mission is to provide financial support to nonprofit organizations serving three critical groups: justice-involved individuals, at-risk youth and victims of crime and abuse.
Restorative care and transformative change among these key groups is made possible, in part, by our partners who unite with us in our mission to provide real, meaningful support to the people who need it most. Since 1991, the Foundation has raised more than $13 million and given hundreds of service hours to organizations making a real impact in the lives of those who are most vulnerable.
In 2025, the Annual Golf Classic raised $1 million that was distributed to 73 nonprofits across the nation.

Nonprofit organizations that serve these populations and have a well-defined sense of purpose, a demonstrated commitment to maximizing available resources and a history of delivering quality services are encouraged to apply for a grant through the CoreCivic Foundation. Organizations must meet the eligibility requirements and utilize the funds as outlined in the proposal/application.

5501 Virginia Way Suite 110 Grantees can be deemed eligible to receive funding through the CoreCivic Foundation by meeting the following criteria: Organization is a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt charity recognized by the IRS Aligns with CoreCivic's mission Supports justice-involved individuals, victims of crime and abuse or at-risk youth Must be willing and able to present measurable outcomes upon request Requested funds must be utilized as outlined in grant application/proposal and lawfully assist in carrying out the nonprofit's mission Knowledge of CoreCivic's mission and/or history of relationship through board service, volunteerism, etc., is preferred Preference will be given to organizations working within Tennessee The grant application window opens May 11, 2026 .
Grant applications and supporting documentation should be submitted no later than August 15, 2026. Applications will be reviewed with award announcements made no later than September 30, 2026. Distributions will be made prior to December 31, 2026.
