Through the Brookshire Communities Foundation, we invest in programs and partnerships that support hunger relief, education, family wellbeing, health, and support for first responders, military members and veterans. We are also proud to support our local civic organizations. Grounded in integrity, and impact, the Foundation ensures every dollar donated makes a meaningful difference.
The Brookshire Communities Foundation proudly invests more than $1 million annually to support students and educators. From college scholarships and tuition assistance to early literacy initiatives, we are shaping the future. Our Focus on the Future Scholarship Program reflects our deep commitment to education access and achievement.
To help build stronger, hunger-free communities, the Foundation partners with regional food banks and local pantries — including members of the Feeding America network. During the holidays, BGC’s Spirit of Christmas and Food 2 Families food drives deliver more than 600,000 pounds of food to families in need. Supporting families is a cornerstone of the Foundation’s work.
Each year, we contribute more than $1 million to nonprofits that address family stability, childcare, housing and more — strengthening lives and neighborhoods across our footprint. Through our Heroes Flight program, the Foundation has honored hundreds of veterans with all-expenses-paid visits to memorials in Washington, D. C.
In addition, we fund dozens of veteran-focused nonprofits year-round to support those who’ve served. The Foundation is proud to support the brave men and women who serve as first responders in our communities. Through targeted donations, partnerships and event support, we help equip local fire departments, EMS crews and law enforcement agencies with the tools and resources they need to serve safely and effectively.
BGC Racing — which supports the Foundation — has raised more than $1. 7 million in race proceeds for local nonprofits. The FRESH 15 in Tyler draws thousands annually and highlights our ongoing commitment to community health and giving back.
