We are proud to support the following types of programs that advance the educational objectives of the healthcare community and support patients: Monetary or in-kind support (goods, commodities or services) provided to legitimate non-profit organizations or charitable organizations for which no benefit or return is required or expected by Takeda.

“Charitable organization” is an institution or organization that has the sole purpose of aiding a public interest or helping specific classes of people with identified needs.

An arrangement where Takeda provides funds to a non-profit or for-profit, eligible organization for a defined purpose such as support of healthcare provider education, other educational programs, patient association initiatives, or other healthcare-related initiatives, without an exchange for something of value to Takeda.

Sponsorship or Corporate Membership Sponsorship is an arrangement where Takeda provides funds to an organization in exchange for something of value to Takeda, including tangible benefits and/or intangible benefits such as recognition. Examples may include a time slot to deliver a presentation, a booth space, wall or electronic space to display Takeda messaging or a table at a fundraising event.

A corporate membership is an arrangement where Takeda contracts for membership benefits from a healthcare entity or patient organization. Benefits may include recognition as a corporate member and the ability to participate in the organization’s meetings and events.

Investigator Initiated Research Investigator Initiated Research (IIR) is defined as unsolicited, independent research where the investigator or the institution (academic, private, or governmental) serves as the Sponsor and Takeda provides support in the form of study drug and/or funding. Takeda is not the Sponsor of an IIR.

The investigator and/or institution/organization assume all legal and regulatory responsibilities as a Sponsor-Investigator.
