Grants - Neurocritical Care Foundation Supporting Innovative Research The Neurocritical Care Foundation invests in research that expands understanding, improves care and accelerates innovation for patients with life-threatening neurological conditions.
Research grant opportunities aim to support scientists, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams at critical early stages of inquiry — helping move ideas from concept to competitive federal funding and broader scientific impact.
We prioritize projects that: Advance clinical and translational neurocritical care science Promote collaboration across institutions and disciplines Strengthen the pipeline of investigators dedicated to improving patient outcomes Address critical gaps in care, including disparities and emerging needs in the field Whether you are an early-career researcher or an established team launching a collaborative initiative, research grants are designed to seed the next generation of breakthroughs in neuroscience critical care.
Available Research Grants Evaluation and/or Feasibility of Technology Integration Into Routine Care Processes in Neurocritical Care Settings Grant This grant supports research teams to develop and test technologies (therapeutic or monitoring tools) that improve clinical care or neuroprognostication in neurocritical care settings. Projects should demonstrate measurable clinical outcomes by the end of the funding period.
Budget: Up to $500,000. F&A must be part of $500k total and limited to 10% of that total, per donor contribution. Funding Term: Two-year project support.
Letter of Intent (LOI): Now Closed Full Application Invitation: Late April Full Application (if invited): June 1 Electroencephalographic Biomarkers of Consciousness After Pediatric Acute Brain Injury Grant This grant funds pilot research on EEG biomarkers of injury or recovery in pediatric acute brain injury to improve understanding and clinical care of consciousness disorders in children.
Budget: Up to $100,000 + 10% F&A (up to $10,000 total for the grant period) Funding Term: Two years of pilot study support aimed at strengthening competitiveness for major federal funding later.
