Wainwright Scholarship Winners Corrections Foundation The Corrections Foundation is proud to announce the 10 recipients of the 2026 Louie L. Wainwright Scholarship, each awarded a $1,000 check to be applied directly to their tuition and fees.

Through membership donations of FDC officers, staff, and contractors, the Corrections Foundation is able to take care of all FDC employees.

While we offer financial assistance for non-members, those who join and qualify for financial assistance benefit in a greater amount. Medical emergencies - $100 Travel for funeral or to provide care for immediate family members - $100 Up to five times in a lifetime with 18 months between requests for assistance. No minimum time required for disaster relief requests.

Medical emergencies - up to $1,500 House fires - up to $1,000 Disaster Relief - up to $1,250 Travel for funeral or to provide care for immediate family members - $500 Up to $1,500 and a minimum of $500 Up to five times in a lifetime with 12 months between requests for assistance. No minimum time required for disaster relief requests.

Not only has the help come in the form of supplies when needed, but support and guidance, as well. Karlene Marchant recommends I have been a member for years and have never needed the assistance. (Thank God) However, 2 weeks ago my daughter who also works for the department and is a member had her baby 10 weeks early.

She lives over 60 miles from the hospital and makes the trip everyday to see her baby. She will be out of work for a little while and received a check from the foundation for $1500. She is extremely grateful for this much needed blessing!

The Pups N PALS PROGRAM in Daytona Beach is fantastic. Save pups and rehabilates people. Thank you to this foundation for allowing a program like this happen and having it grow to be a recognized program in the community.

The Veterans and the regular ADOPTERS have all been extremely grateful. The Office Irwin really does a great job. Helped my family and I when we needed it the most.

Thank you so very much. The Corrections Foundation frequently receives calls asking if we help cover legal expenses. While we do not, we recommend signing up for US Legal Services , which may be able to help cover fees for attorneys.
