Council Community Grant Program | Castle Rock, CO - Official Website Departments and Divisions Council Community Grant Program Council Community Grant Program The Council Community Grant Program is funded by the General Fund. Individual grants are capped at $1,000 per request per year, with allocations not to exceed $20,000 for the year or $6,000 per quarter.
Council Community Grant Program funds are for specific nonprofit organizations for community-based projects. Eligible projects must contribute to Castle Rock's quality of life, with special emphasis on programs and activities for youth, seniors, and community-based environmental and sustainability. The organization must provide an IRS Affirmation Letter .
Nonprofit organizations may only receive one Council Community Grant per year. Beginn ing in 2026, if an organization received the grant in two consecutive years, it must sit out for one year before reapplying. New in 2026, youth sports and high school sports/activities are not eligible for the Council Community Grant unless they offer an opportunity that is not repetitive or a project that uniquely contributes to the community.
Starting in 2026, preference will be given to organizations located in Castle Rock and to applicants who have not previously received a grant. Applications may be submitted on an as-needed basis and will be reviewed quarterly. Applications not approved in the previous quarter may be resubmitted by the applicant for the next quarter and are still subject to approval if the request remains valid upon the next quarterly review.
A representative from the organization must attend the Town Council meeting when applications are reviewed.
