Initiatives funded by the CASE for Kids County Connections project provide comprehensive summer programs, short-term projects, and summer camps hosted in-person or virtually from a variety of locations including schools, community centers, apartment complexes, and churches.

This year, 78 organization applications were received requesting over $2. 2M in funding across all four Commissioner Precincts.
In total, more than $1. 4M was awarded to over 70 organizations to provide engaging summer activities to sites across the county. The organizations listed here will provide diverse activities for youth during the summer months in 2026.
Activities offered will include fine arts, academic enrichment, college exploration, and youth mentoring. Congratulations to all grant recipients! We are grateful to Harris County for their investment and support of out-of-school time programming.

Initiatives funded by the CASE for Kids County Connections program provide comprehensive summer programs, short-term projects, and summer camps hosted in person or virtually from various locations, including schools, community centers, apartment complexes, and churches. Organizations that were HCDE-approved vendors and had 501(c)3 status for 12 consecutive months (1 year) prior to March 2, 2025 received an invitation on Ion Wave.

Initiatives funded by the CASE for Kids County Connections program can provide comprehensive summer programs, short term projects and summer camps hosted in-person or virtually from a variety of locations including schools, community centers, apartment complexes and churches.
In addition, organizations are eligible to apply for synchronous or asynchronous college and career readiness initiatives for older youth to be delivered virtually through CASE for Kids LevelUp online learning platform. Initiatives should be customized to meet community needs of individual Harris County Precincts. Services must include resources or reduce cost for summer initiatives for families during pandemic conditions.
