Indiana Office of Court Services: Court Reform Grants 2027 Court Reform Grant Applications will be available in September 2026. Courts may request grant funds for projects related to improving safety and security for court staff and others using the court building.
Grants requesting salary for security personnel are not awarded unless the application demonstrates how the personnel will be funded locally after the conclusion of the grant period. Funds may be used for technology projects that improve customer service, process, case management, or other aspects of court operations.
The technology should not interfere with the operation of Odyssey or INcite and should focus on new methods of assisting judicial officers, litigants, and court staff. Examples: (1) a court may wish to install publicly accessible video conference workstation to conduct court-related business; or (2) a court may wish to install new display equipment in their courtroom to assist with courtroom management and the presentation of evidence.
Innovation/Collaborative Grants Courts may request grant funds for innovative projects that are not already addressed or limited by the other categories. These should be focused on improving the administration of justice, in all its facets. This year the court is opening this category to include collaborative projects which seek to link together programs within a county, or for collaboration between courts of different counties.
