The Jenni Crain Foundation Jenni Crain (1991–2021) was an esteemed artist and curator who passed away suddenly due to complications related to Covid-19. She was widely recognized for her original minimalist sculpture and curatorial projects that championed under-recognized women artists as well as for her rigorous scholarship and writing. Crain was a passionate and tireless advocate of artists and art.
Throughout her life, she built a vast community of friends, collaborators, and colleagues whose work she drove forward with generosity, sensitivity, and the deep probing intelligence with which she considered the world.
Jenni Crain, Moments Spared , 2022 Jenni Crain, Bent To Its Own Image (1) , Bent To Its Own Image (2) , 2015 The Foundation preserves Jenni’s legacy by supporting transformative projects by artists, curators, and writers of any age at early or pivotal stages of their career. In honor of her memory, The Jenni Crain Foundation provides grants in two areas: 1.
Finishing funds toward the completion of a significant project ranging from an exhibition, arts publication, or work of art across disciplines and forms. 2. Support for original research which may include travel, accommodation, and any funds required for accessing or studying materials.
In keeping with Jenni’s ethos and legacy, special consideration will be given to projects and practices that address feminist theory, architecture/design, and work authored by or exploring under-recognized artists. However, other proposed projects outside of the listed criteria may still be strong candidates and are encouraged to apply. Applications are received and reviewed on a rolling basis.
To submit please send a project proposal and detailed budget, including requested funds. We additionally ask all applicants provide two letters of recommendation as well as a CV and/or portfolio. NCI Continuing Umbrella of Research Experiences (CURE) Academic Career Excellence (ACE) Award (K32) is a grant from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) that funds early postdoctoral fellows from diverse backgrounds, including underrepresented groups, to pursue research training in cancer-related fields. The K32 award supports fellows within 12 months prior to transitioning into, or within the first two years of, a postdoctoral position. The program, operated through NCI's Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities (CRCHD), aims to enhance the pool of qualified diverse cancer researchers. Beginning with the June 12, 2025 due date, the CURE ACE Award is available in both Independent Clinical Trial Required and Independent Clinical Trial Not Allowed versions. Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents at time of award.
Innovation Grant is a grant from the Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation that funds nonprofit organizations pursuing unique, high-impact projects that improve health and wellness in Arizona communities. This two-year award supports original initiatives with measurable real-world impact, including programs serving underserved and uninsured populations through oral health education, disease prevention, and nutritional access. Projects must demonstrate the potential to make a meaningful difference in the community and stand apart from conventional approaches. Eligible applicants are Arizona-based nonprofit organizations. Awards total $100,000 per recipient over two years. The 2026 application cycle closed October 16, 2025, with recipients notified in late 2025 and funding made available shortly after.
