Thank you for your interest in seeking financial assistance from the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA). The CRDA is dedicated to facilitating economic and community development opportunities throughout the City.

We are dedicated to the reinvestment of Atlantic City through the support and creation of various initiatives by leveraging its available assets and revenues with private investment capital to support various projects meant to revitalize Atlantic City. Given that, the CRDA oversees land use planning in the Tourism District; it also continues its mission to create new opportunities to attract visitors to Atlantic City.

Below you will find applications that correspond to both grant and loan opportunities. Once we receive your completed application, our team will review and evaluate your submission. You will be notified of our decision to proceed in the process for funding and we will indicate what the following steps will be in order to prepare your application for the review of the Board of Directors of the CRDA.

The Board of Directors of the CRDA must approve all funding applications. No application is considered awarded unless the Executive Director and Board of Directors of the CRDA, approves your application and an executed grant agreement has been issued between parties. Please note that the processing timeframe for all applications typically range between 30 to 90 workdays.

These projects are specific to the creation or support of community initiatives that build a stronger and more resilient Atlantic City. These projects should seek to make the Atlantic City community a stronger and more vibrant community for those who live, work and play here.

These projects are for initiatives such as special events, festivals, and concerts that will specifically benefit residents, visitors, and the Tourism District of Atlantic City. The projects should take into account the cultural and historic significance of the communities in Atlantic City.

*For events taking place on City property, applicants must secure special event permits for the event dates from the City of Atlantic City in advance of submitting the CRDA Grant Application. This permit must accompany the CRDA application. These projects are for New Jersey State, Atlantic County, City of Atlantic City, or local government under­taking projects in Atlantic City that will benefit Atlantic City.

CRDA will accept proposals for Community Development, Tourism/Marketing, and Government grants during the periods of January 1 – February 28 and July 1 – August 31. See guidelines below for further details. Grant Proposal Guidelines Economic development initiatives are those that seek to build major infrastructure areas in Atlantic City.

This may include but not limited to initiatives in affordable housing, redevelopment and rehabilitation, small businesses and planning initiatives. 2026 CRDA Grant and Loan Application The New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Development Authority Microloan Program is designed for small businesses and economic development projects in Atlantic City.

With $2 million in available funding, this program bridges the gap for entrepreneurs who face challenges securing traditional financing.

Project Budget Cap: Up to $10 million Loan Amounts: Up to $500,000 per application Coverage: Up to 50% of total project costs Terms: Flexible 5-10 year repayment periods Timeline: Applications accepted until June 31, 2026 The CRDA Microloan Program supports a wide range of economic development initiatives including: Other qualifying business development costs Eligibility Requirements: Minimum 20% equity contribution required Evidence of attempting conventional financing Personal guarantees for loans Compliance with prevailing wage requirements for construction Applications open July 1, 2025, and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted.

2026 Microloan Application The CRDA offers sponsorship opportunities for events in Atlantic City or for the direct benefit of the community of Atlantic City. These opportunities require an application with verification of organizational and event details. The opportunities are restricted in dollar amount, the organization applying must have an established record of accomplishment of events and also must be a 501(c)(3).

If sponsorship funds are awarded, organizations are required to wait a minimum of one year from the date funds were issued to apply again.
