Creative Europe - European Education and Culture Executive Agency Creative Europe is the European Commission's programme to support the culture and audiovisual sectors by providing funding for cultural and creative organisations, cinemas and films.
EACEA manages key parts of the Creative Europe programme on behalf of the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture and the Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology . Six EU-supported films awarded at 2026 Cannes Film Festival, including prestigious Palme d'Or At the 79th Cannes Film Festival, EU-funded films supported by the Creative Europe MEDIA programme received major awards, including the Palme d’Or, Jury Prize and acting honours. This success reflects Europe’s creativity, collaboration and talent, and promotes its cultural diversity globally.
