Subtopic_x0020_Level_x0020_1}} {{item. ResourceLink. Description}} The Career and Technical Education (CTE) & Innovation Department offers numerous grant opportunities funded by State CTE and federal PerkinsV monies distributed through a formula, competitive or incentive basis.
These funds are awarded through Education for Employment(EFE) CTE Systems which then distribute money to the local public school districts,or directly to school districts, Area Career Centers, community colleges/universities or Regional Offices of Education. Any entity that receives Perkins/CTE funds must conduct a comprehensive local needs assessment (CLNA) every two years with input from stakeholders.

The Robotics Grant Program is a grant from the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) that funds school-based robotics programs for elementary, middle, and high school students. Awarded through a competitive application process, the program provides up to $3,500 to eligible local education agencies (LEAs) in Alabama. Applicants must be public school systems submitting on behalf of schools with K–12 students. The grant supports the purchase of robotics equipment and program development aligned with AMSTI guidelines. Applications are submitted online through the AMSTI Robotics Grant portal.
