Questionnaire – Kosasa Foundation We appreciate your interest in the Kosasa Foundation’s grant opportunities. Please note that, at this time, we do not accept unsolicited proposals. We acknowledge the significant time and effort involved in the application process and want to ensure that there is alignment between our focus areas and your organization’s mission before you invest valuable time in an application.
We ask interested organizations to read through the relevant information and answer the Prospective Grantee Questionnaire below. If it is determined that your project/program is potentially aligned with the priority areas, you will receive a link to the application portal. We recognize that there are numerous commendable ideas, projects, and organizations deserving of support, surpassing the limits of our available resources.

You do not need to complete this questionnaire. My organization is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organiztion. We only fund 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations.
The focus of my organization's work is inside the state of Hawai‘i We only fund organizations whose work is inside the state of Hawai'i My organization has received funding from the Kosasa Foundation in the past 12 months. We only fund one project per year per organization. BECAUSE YOU HAVEN'T MET THE CONDITIONS OF THE STATEMENTS ABOVE, YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR A KOSASA FOUNDATION GRANT AT THIS TIME.

Opportunity Youth (Ages 16-24) Community-based Environmental Stewardship Early Childhood Education Culture & Arts Other I’ve read the priority areas, and my project/program is aligned with the priorities because: Kosasa Foundation considers a small number of applications that do not fit one of our priority areas.
We look for projects that a) have potential for significant impact on vulnerable populations or communities; b) use different approaches to improve outcomes or to reach people in new communities; or c) make an important change to a public system that needs improvements.
