CyberSmart Program (Michigan) is a grant from Michigan Defense Center and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation that funds cybersecurity training and technical assistance for Michigan-based small and medium-sized manufacturers seeking to improve their cybersecurity posture and achieve compliance with federal contracting requirements.
The program provides awards to help manufacturers assess cybersecurity practices, implement controls required by the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework, and protect sensitive defense information. Eligible applicants are Michigan manufacturers that are part of or aspire to be part of the defense industrial base supply chain.
CyberSmart funding covers costs of cybersecurity assessments, gap remediation, training, and technical assistance to support Michigan's defense manufacturing sector and national security interests.
