Dairy Business Planning Grant - Open | Southeast Dairy Business Innovation Initiative Dairy Business Planning Grant – Open The Southeast Dairy Business Innovation Initiative (SDBII), with support from USDA AMS, offers grants to dairy businesses in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Puerto Rico.
The program provides reimbursement funds to permitted dairy businesses that are seeking the help of experts to plan for the future. The Dairy Business Planning Grant Request for Proposal (RFP), budget workbook, and scoring rubric are available below. The application window will close on September 23, 2026.

Those considering applying for an SDBII grant should start the process of obtaining a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) as soon as possible. Award recipients will be required to provide a UEI before the grant contract can be executed. Wait times are currently several weeks long.

Cold Chain Grants for Emergency Food Assistance Program (CCG) is sponsored by USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS). This program provides funding to support cold chain equipment investments that help food assistance entities temporarily store, effectively package, and distribute fresh, frozen, and minimally processed foods. Nonprofits administering subaward programs are eligible, which would then fund food banks and other emergency food assistance operations for cold storage and distribution equipment.
