DARPA ERIS is sponsored by Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). DARPA and the Applied Research Institute (ARI) are initiating a long-term, open call for new and novel technology solutions to support the Expedited Research Implementation Series (ERIS) initiative.

The video solutions housed within the marketplace have been assessed through competitive procedures that exceed the competition requirements of 10 USC 4021, 10 USC 4022 and 10 USC 4023 and thus are readily available to be viewed, selected, negotiated, and awarded by DoW activities via the appropriate Other Transaction Authority.

Helpful Documents and Resources Frequently Asked Questions What are the requirements for a video submission? Your video must be 7:00 minutes long and should accurately convey your technology solution so that DARPA government customers can evaluate if it meets their mission requirements. Video submissions which exceed the length limitation of 7:00 minutes will not be assessed.

Primarily, it is crucial you review the evaluation criteria listed in the announcement. The evaluation rubric will provide important insight into how your company’s solution will be evaluated by a government buyer. You should also perform a compliance review of your proposed solution prior to submitting your video.

When creating your video, focus on both the content of the video (see announcement for video requirements) well as techniques for recording an appealing video. Am I able to make edits to my video after it’s been deemed Awardable? No, you cannot.

If you have updates or features you need to include, you will need to create a new video following the criteria above and re-submit it for evaluation. Also note that each video is limited to one solution. If more than one solution is offered, you should submit multiple videos.

How can DARPA or other government customers find my video? Government customers can find your video in multiple ways: They can search specifically for your company name Government can search for specific technology solution types Government can find it through searching for particular strategic focus areas Through a variety of marketing activities to DoD customer organizations I submitted my video, now what? When is the assessment?

Submissions timely received for a given month (the monthly collection period) will be assessed in the following month with results available within 30 days of the end of the relevant collection period (e.g., for the collection period ending December 31 at 12:00 PM (Noon) ET, assessment results will be distributed no later than January 31 (subject to flexibility for instances of high volume)). How often can I submit a video?

You can submit as many videos as you have solutions – if you offer more than one solution, please submit one video per solution. If your submitted video is assessed as being not Awardable, you may resubmit the video using assessor’s feedback and the submission guidelines in the ERIS Announcement. Our solution does not fit one of the ERIS Topic Areas.

What should we do? You should only submit a video if your solution fits one or more of the ERIS topic areas. These are derived from the current set of DARPA interests and reflect the solutions the Government is seeking through the ERIS Solution Marketplace.

In the future, as the customer base and mission focus areas supported by the ERIS Solutions Marketplace evolve, so will the list of topic areas. Stay updated on these at DARPAConnect. us/ERIS My video was deemed non-compliant or not Awardable.

What do I do? For videos that are deemed non-compliant, you will receive feedback about why the video was non-compliant and will be able to revise and resubmit. If you are able to resubmit prior to the monthly deadline, your video will be assessed within that month's assessment period.

If you submit after the deadline, your video will be assessed during the next month's assessment period. If your video was evaluated as not being Awardable, please go back and review the evaluation criteria and rubric in the announcement. Carefully review the assessor's feedback, and you are welcome to revise and resubmit the video in future assessment periods.

What kinds of companies can submit a video to the ERIS Solution Marketplace? All US-based companies, traditional and nontraditional, large business and small business, universities, non-profit companies, and individuals are welcome to participate in the ERIS Solution Marketplace.

In addition, foreign universities, research institutions, and entities may submit video pitches for their related technology solutions provided that such submissions are compliant with international law, including export laws for both the country of origin of the technology provider and the United States.
