To date, our Challenges have drawn nearly 3,000 applications from 76 countries. The result? 29 projects awarded and $85M in additional funding catalyzed.

Challenge awardees are leaders advancing the field. They gain access to capital, technical assistance, and a network of peers tackling the same problems. What we learn along the way helps benchmark the field and guide further investment in capacity building and shared infrastructure.

Generative AI Skills Challenge In 2023, we launched the Generative AI Skills Challenge to help train and upskill teams on generative AI to accelerate digital inclusion, socioeconomic mobility, and skills advancement and acquisition for workers from historically marginalized populations around the world.
