## Additional Grant Programs The Foundation partners with many local organizations and private foundations to administer and manage their grant programs. ## Davis-Kozoll Cuba Area Trail Fund Newly established in 2026,the**Davis-Kozoll Cuba Area Trail Fund**will award up to$5,000 annually to support trail construction, maintenance, enhancement projects, and related programs in the Cuba area.
Created through the generosity of Sally Davis and Richard Kozoll, the fund is designed to: * Increase the number and improve the quality of trails accessible from Cuba, New Mexico * Support public and nonprofit organizations committed to developing, maintaining, and enhancing local trails through volunteer and youth engagement * Support public and nonprofit organizations providing environmental education and promoting public land stewardship in the Cuba area For many years, Sally Davis and Richard Kozoll have worked to develop and improve trails in the Cuba area to strengthen community health, enhance quality of life, and support the local economy.
Through this fund, they hope to continue investing in organizations that share their commitment to expanding access to outdoor spaces and caring for the region’s public lands. In that area, please enter:**CUBA2026** ## Sandia Foundation Grants In 2006, the Sandia Foundation engaged the services of Albuquerque Community Foundation to administer its annual grant award program. Sandia Foundation’s Trustees review and recommend grant recipients and Albuquerque Community Foundation organizes and performs required due diligence.
The efforts of the Sandia Foundation are concentrated on Albuquerque nonprofits that work with children in our community with regard to basic needs and advancing their education through long-term, consistent intervention and support. In an attempt to ease the burden on the many nonprofits who apply and do not receive funding, the Sandia Foundation will pivot to an invite-only model for accepting applications in 2026.
Given the volume of applications received relative to available funding, organizations invited to apply are not guaranteed funding but will have a greater chance at receiving funding with this model. Invitations to apply will be offered based on funding history, available funds, and the guidelines and criteria below.
* Organizations must directly benefit Albuquerque residents * Grants awards will range in amounts up to $15,000 * Funding focus area: child well-being with a focus on basic needs and advancing their education through long-term, consistent intervention and support * Preference will be given to organizations with operating budgets of less than $1 million ## Hancock Family Foundation Grant Program The Hancock Family Foundation was a private philanthropic institution organized to provide leadership and encouragement to community-based charitable activities in New Mexico.
In 2021, the Hancock Family decided to enlist the support of Albuquerque Community Foundation in administering the family grant program. In an attempt to ease the burden on the many nonprofits who apply and do not receive funding, the Hancock Family Fund will pivot to an invite-only model for accepting applications in 2025.
With a desire to fund in broad focus areas throughout the state and the nonprofit network of the Foundation, the Hancock Family has received far more applications than there is available funding to support. Organizations invited to apply are not guaranteed funding but will have a greater chance at receiving funding with this model.
Invitations to apply will be offered based on funding history, available funds and the guidelines and criteria below. 1. **Education:**Areas of focus are children's literacy programs, English as a Second Language (ESL) education, and primary education enrichment.
2. **Health and Welfare:**Areas of focus are shelters dedicated to women and children and those seeking safe havens and lodging during medical procedures. HFF stands as a constant source for aid for survivors of domestic violence, and contribute to women's health and family planning services, ensuring comprehensive care for vulnerable populations.
3. **Arts:**HFF embraces community-based arts initiatives. With a focus on enriching the lives of youth, HFF stands behind programming that nurtures creativity and self-expression.
4. **Environmental and Animal Welfare:**Areas of focus on environmental conservation, animal welfare and protection, and community-driven education to safeguard natural resources and ecosystems. _The application period for the Hancock Family Foundation 2026 Grant Cycle has officially closed.
_ The Emergency Action Fund was activated during a time of significant crisis to provide critical support to affected communities. Since 2022, over $600,000 has been granted to nonprofits addressing urgent needs related to COVID-19, wildfires, and subsequent flooding disasters.
The Emergency Action Fund remains committed to being a responsive and reliable resource, prepared to mobilize quickly to address future widespread emergencies and provide essential assistance during times of critical need.
* **Housing Stability & Support**may include, but is not limited to: supporting individuals and/or families in rebuilding and/or repairing homes affected by wildfires * **Access to Economic Opportunities**may include, but is not limited to: innovative income opportunities for individuals and/or families whose primary source of income was lost due to wildfires * **Environmental Restoration & Reforestation**may include, but is not limited to: intentional efforts directly supporting the environmental preservation, restoration and/or prevention of impacted lands ## Additional Grant Opportunities The Foundation partners with many local organizations and private foundations to administer and manage their grant programs.
