Day of Service Mini Grant Program - Serve Virginia Virginia Service Foundation Days of Service Mini Grant Program Organizations can apply for up to $250 of mini grant funding from the Virginia Service Foundation to support National Days of Service projects that engage individual and group volunteers in opportunities to serve others and reflect on civic engagement.
Applications open for mini grant funding each Summer for the 9/11 Day of Service and each Fall for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. The funding cycle for 2026 9/11 Day of Service projects is now open! Applications close on July 27 at 11:59 p.
m. ET. Applicants must represent public or private nonprofit organizations that serve the Commonwealth of Virginia, including faith-based and other community organizations, public or private schools, institutions of higher education, and government entities.
Funding will be provided on a reimbursement basis to selected organizations and proof of project completion and volunteer engagement is required. Please contact the Virginia Service Foundation at foundation@servevirginia. org or download a shareable flyer about Days of Service below.
