The Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA) recognizes the innovation, flexibility, affordability, and technology solutions that small businesses offer to meet its programs and missions. The DMEA Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP) leads the effort to maximize opportunities for small businesses in its acquisitions and add new entrants to the Defense Industrial Base (DIB).
The mission of the DMEA OSBP is in direct support of the Department of War’s (DoW) needs by advocating for small businesses that contribute to national security and economic power to our nation in the area of microelectronics. The DMEA OSBP vision is to maximize small business opportunities through innovation and advanced technology microelectronics solutions.
DMEA purchases research & development/technology; engineering and other technical consulting services; electronics and semiconductor-related device manufacturing; IT-related supplies and services; laboratory, scanner, test, and x-ray equipment; and facilities support services: security, landscape maintenance, janitorial, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, painting, etc. The following is a ranking of DMEA’s top ten NAICS code by total contract value from FY 2021 to FY 2025.

## DMEA Subcontracting Opportunities DMEA’s Advanced Technology Support Program V (ATSP5) contracting vehicle is designed to resolve problems with obsolete, unreliable, unmaintainable, underperforming, or incapable electronics hardware and software through development of advanced technology insertions and applications to meet the requirements of the DoW for a quick reaction capability.

## DMEA SBIR/STTR Program DMEA participates in the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Programs which are highly competitive awards-based programs that encourage domestic small businesses to engage in Federal Research/Research and Development (R/R&D) with the potential for commercialization.
