First Time Grant Applicant Application The FTGA application is our most comprehensive grant application, and should be submitted for the following situations: The nonprofit has never received a grant award from Delaplaine Foundation. The nonprofit previously applied for grant funding from Delaplaine Foundation, but the request was denied.

The nonprofit has received a sponsorship from Delaplaine Foundation in the past, but has not received a grant award as part of an annual grant cycle. Nonprofits that have received grant funding from Delaplaine Foundation within the past three years should utilize the Renewal Application. This is the case even if the nonprofit is requesting grant funding for a new program or initiative.

The Renewal Application focuses on the grant request rather than organizational information. Nonprofits that have previously received grant funding from Delaplaine Foundation, but not within the past three years, should utilize the Returning Applicant Application. It is a version of the Renewal Application with some additional organizational information requested.

First Time Grant Applicant Application: The first stage of the application, referred to as an “LOI” or “Letter of Intent” phase, is due September 1 st . This phase of the application is used to determine eligibility. You will receive notice of whether eligibility has been confirmed within two weeks.

Nonprofits that receive approval to proceed must then submit a full grant application prior to the October 1 st deadline. Approval to proceed with submission of an application is not a guarantee of a grant award. Renewal and Returning Grantee Applications: Both grant applications are due by midnight on October 1 st , or the next business day.

The application can be completed in one session, or you may begin the application, save your work, and return to complete the process. Once complete, you may upload financial information and other required documentation and submit your application for review.
