Denver Mobility Incentive Program

Denver Mobility Incentive Program is sponsored by City and County of Denver. This program provides funding to support the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure at multifamily housing units and may consider funding requests for trip replacement solutions, such as incentives for walking, biking and transit.

Denver is now providing funding to support the installation of Level 1 electric vehicle (EV) charging at multifamily housing.

Up to $100,000 per project is available to install EV charging infrastructure This track is best for multifamily buildings or organizations that know what EV charging infrastructure they want and are ready to apply for funding. This funding will only cover Level 1 charging infrastructure. Larger funding amounts may be considered based on overall impact and any matching funds associated with the project.

We will also be funding up to 10 pilot multifamily EV charging projects This track is best for multifamily buildings or organizations who are not sure what EV charging infrastructure is best or possible for them. Our team will work with you to understand the best way to approach adding EV charging infrastructure to the building and cover the cost for installation. Pilot projects will only look at Level 1 charging.

Funding requests for trip replacement solutions, such as incentives for walking, biking and transit, may also be considered. Priority will be given to EV charging projects, but innovative, impactful projects of this type may receive funding. We will not consider projects seeking funding to purchase electric vehicles.

The interest and eligibility form is now open to apply for funding or a pilot project spot. It is a simple project intake form that lets us assess your initial plan and eligibility for funding. If approved, our team will reach out to you to schedule a site visit to collect more information.

Forms will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis.

Start Your Interest and Eligibility Form The following entities or organizations are eligible to apply: Multifamily housing facilities Both affordable housing and market rate housing may apply Transportation management associations Building owners, managers, or employers that have authority to make building decisions Nonprofit and community-based organizations Business improvement districts Registered neighborhood organization Other organizations with an innovative idea The applicant must have a connection to and input from the local community.

The project must be located in the City and County of Denver. Reduce the use of fossil-fuel-based transportation. Have the ability to successfully implement and manage the project.

Projects should use this funding to start up, and should not require any additional operational funding from the city All projects must be able to provide a plan for reporting back to the city on applicable metrics, such as: EV charger utilization and energy dispersion Number of chargers or other assets deployed Number of hours of charging recorded Trips replaced and vehicle miles avoided Have your project concept in mind?
