Clinical Research Services Research Laboratories & Programs Children's Research Center Internal Grants Open for Applications Summer's Wish Pediatric Cardiology Innovators Fund Proposals Due: Friday, September 21, 2026 at 4:00pm The purpose of the Summer’s Wish Pediatric Cardiology Innovators Fund is to drive high impact, breakthrough translational research crucial to improving outcomes for children who undergo heart transplantation by addressing pediatric heart transplant complications (eg.
pre-transplant support, rejection, infectious complications, post-transplant procedures, mental health). This fund will support investigators who demonstrate a promising track record for novel approaches advancing early-stage ideas. The award will enable the development of new approaches to prevent and/or treat heart transplant complications in children.
Summer's Wish Pediatric Cardiology Innovators Fund Application Instructions Internal Support Offered on a Rolling Basis Departmental Support for Research Publication Costs Applications are considered on a rolling basis - Support is limited to 1 paper per fiscal year (July 1- June 30) per faculty member who is a first or senior author.
Recognizing that the costs of publication have risen significantly, especially for open access journals whose fees are mandatory, the Department of Pediatrics is pleased to offer financial support to help offset research publication fees.
Departmental Support Application Instructions The Department of Pediatrics participates in our Medical School's Mock Study section program to help primarily our Assistant Professors get their first national level grants. This initiative uses an inter-departmental, 2-step process for providing constructive feedback on NIH grant applications.
