A Night That Elevated Education in DeSoto Nearly 200 community members, educators, sponsors, and supporters gathered for the DeSoto County Education Foundation’s signature fundraising event, ElevatED 2026. Together, we celebrated excellence in education while raising critical support for local students, teachers, and classrooms.

The evening honored our Teacher of the Year, Rookie Teacher of the Year, and School-Related Employee of the Year while showcasing the incredible impact that happens when a community rallies behind education. We provide educator grants ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 to support projects aligned with our key funding priorities: Literacy, STEM, Professional Development, Enhanced Student Involvement, and Student Resiliency.

Each year, our Fueling Innovation Educator Grants empower DeSoto County teachers to implement creative, student-centered projects that enhance instruction and deepen engagement. Application window opens each summer and closes end of August. Scholarships funded by our generous community help DeSoto County seniors take their next step with confidence. These awards ease the financial burden of college, trade school, or other postsecondary plans—opening doors to opportunity and recognizing students for their hard work, leadership, and resilience.
