Destination Geneva Grant Program # Destination Geneva Grant Program The original Destination Geneva Grant Program was approved in 2025 to maintain and improve Geneva’s destination appeal by providing reimbursement for up to $2,500 for special events that result in increased visits, overnight stays and innovative experiences.
In 2026, the City Council authorized the Expanded Destination Geneva Grant Program to provide grants for special events or other activities undertaken to promote tourism and conventions or otherwise to attract non-residents, overnight visitors to stay within the corporate limits of the City. The maximum grant amount under the expanded program is $10,000 per event or project.
Eligible applications include registered 501(3) or other non-profit organizations and Geneva businesses (for-profit) acting as a collective in the execution of an event or project. All applicants must have their principal place of business within the City of Geneva corporate limits.
The Destination Geneva Grant Program is a discretionary grant program with the City exercising judgment in determining recipients and the amount of any grant awards.
