Diamond Project Capital Grants is sponsored by Cubs Charities (Chicago Cubs). The Diamond Project supports capital improvements that enhance youth baseball and softball facilities in Chicago, including turf, lighting, fencing, and more.

Diamond Project | Chicago Cubs In honor of the Chicago Cubs 150th anniversary as a National League franchise, Cubs Charities is committing $3 million in capital funding over three years to upgrade facilities at youth baseball and softball fields across Chicago through the Diamond Project, Cubs Charities' flagship capital investment program.

The Diamond Project supports baseball and softball field renovations throughout Chicago in partnership with the Chicago Park District, Chicago Public Schools and community organizations. To date, Cubs Charities has invested more than $14 million through the Diamond Project and completed 116 projects across Chicago to increase equitable access to safe, high-quality playing spaces across the city for Chicago’s youth.

As Cubs Charities continues its investment in Chicago’s youth, applications for future Diamond Project funding are now open to local nonprofits, community-based organizations and youth sports programs. Of note, while the capital investment spans three years, project timelines will vary and may not be completed within that timeframe.
