Diane Hawley and Carol Przybycien Scholarship is sponsored by Stonewall Community Foundation. Provides financial support to lesbian-identifying students enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate studies within the United States.

Scholarships — Stonewall Community Foundation We take education seriously, knowing that it has the power to help LGBTQ+ people overcome complex social and economic barriers. For over 20 years, we have partnered with donors to create scholarships that provide unique opportunities and access to education, both in New York City and throughout the country. Stonewall Community Foundation uses a universal application.

If you are eligible for one or more of our scholarships, you will be directed to submit an application that consists of applicant information, short response prompts, and a letter of recommendation. You only need to submit one application to be considered for all Stonewall scholarships that you are eligible for.

Aritzia x Stonewall Scholarship The Aritzia x Stonewall Scholarship was established in 2021 to support LGBTQ+ women in their pursuit of higher education by Aritzia, the global design-house known for its Everyday Luxury™ wardrobe essentials.

Centered on Aritzia’s values, this scholarship supports LGBTQ+ women who demonstrate excellence and creativity, who have made a positive impact in their communities, and who study or plan to work in business, fashion design, retail management, or social justice advocacy. Each awarded student will receive a one-time scholarship of $5,000 paid directly to their school.

Expand to view eligibility requirements Applicants should meet all the following criteria: Identify as a woman in the LGBTQ+ community; Study or plan to work in business, fashion design, retail management, or social justice advocacy; and Be a currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in the United States.

Fred Ohm Dream Builder Scholarship The Fred Ohm Dream Builder Scholarship supports LGBTQ+ immigrants and/or LGBTQ+ young adults transitioning out of foster care who are pursuing undergraduate studies in New York State.

Inspired by Fred Ohm’s legacy of hope and opportunity, the scholarship uplifts students navigating the intersecting experiences of queerness and immigration or queerness and foster care, ensuring that financial hardship does not limit educational dreams. Each awarded student will receive a one-time scholarship of $5,000 paid directly to their school.

Hawley Przybycien Lesbian Scholarship Founded by Diane Hawley & Carol Przybycien, the Hawley Przybycien Lesbian Scholarship supports lesbian students at the undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate levels who demonstrate financial need, leadership potential, and a commitment to advancing LGBTQ+ or feminist causes. Each awarded student will receive a one-time scholarship of $5,000 paid directly to their school.

Expand to view eligibility requirements Applicants should meet all the following criteria: Have work or internship experience; Have demonstrated leadership in LGBTQ+ or feminist organizations; and Attend a college or university in the United States as an undergraduate or graduate student. The Phil's Fund Scholarship supports LGBTQ+ students attending public college in the Bronx, NYC.

The scholarship aims to reduce financial barriers and uplift students who show promise, resilience, and commitment to their community. Inspired by the transformative role tuition-free college played in the founder’s life, this scholarship seeks to expand opportunities for LGBTQ+ youth who face structural and economic challenges. Each awarded student will receive a one-time scholarship of $7,500 paid directly to their school.

Traub-Dicker Rainbow Scholarship The Traub-Dicker Rainbow Scholarship (TDRS) was established by Peggy Traub and Phyllis Dicker to encourage and support lesbians in their pursuit of higher education, including graduate students and students graduating high school. Each awarded student will receive a one-time scholarship of $4,000 paid directly to their school.
