Read How ILA is a Fit for the Digital Equity Grant Activities ILA will implement to facilitate the grant’s purpose When Translate Live’s Instant Language Assistants (ILAs) are purchased via the grant, they will break down language barriers between staff and the people your organization serves, as well as those who have communication challenges, such as the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or DeafBlind.
ILA offers unparalleled Al for real-time, face-to-face, or remote communication. ILAs can also be used to access live spoken or ASL interpretation services (can also be routed to your preferred current language vendor). Any ILA can be set up with customized translations needed for organizational processes.
ILAs ensure that older adults, those with communication needs, and those with little or no English proficiency can participate in digital equity training. Broadcast Mode can be used for training, classes, workforce development, skill acquisition, registrations and many other activities. TranslateLive offers Mobile Device Management (MDM) to lock ILA into kiosk mode.
It can be used remotely via QR code or weblink, and no app download is required. The barriers or challenges ILA will solve ILA resolves communication obstacles to help you better communicate with and serve individuals who speak different languages or have language accessibility needs.
Individuals served and the covered population ILAs provide language access to families, students, and workers with language accessibility needs, as well as to anyone whose native language is not English.
How ILA facilitates the purpose of the Digital Equity Grant Program The use of ILAs in schools, and as a workforce solution for organizations and/or government agencies facilitates the purpose of the Digital Equity Competitive Grant Program by promoting all five (5) key activities/interventions of the grant, which are: a. Economic stability, including workforce development and employment opportunities; b.
Access to quality education and training; d. Social and civic engagement; and/or e. Community access to the benefits of Internet technology TranslateLive (TL) will supply regular (monthly, yearly) reporting to you to enable you to easily comply with the terms of the grant, which includes: a.
Identifying which ILA Pro devices are being used; c. Language pair chosen (ex. , Spanish/English, English/Vietnamese); d.
Timestamp/length of interactions e. Minutes used on each ILA that can be compared to the usage of your current language service provider. f.
End-user feedback: Each ILA Pro has a live feedback button which enables your staff to leave immediate feedback to our TL Support. g. A “closing URL” can be added to each device, redirecting users to a survey upon the end of their interaction.
This enables the collection of end-user feedback on the accuracy and communication experience of the end-users to further refine product performance. Estimated outputs (e.g. training, curricula, certifications) TranslateLive provides staff with multiple one-hour virtual trainings. TL will also provide training videos and printable guides to ensure all staff are comfortable using the ILA Pro devices.
