Digital Transformation for Manufacturers | About the Program The Digital Transformation for Manufacturers Program — the result of a NIST cooperative agreement award to Ohio MEP — is a collaboration of: The Digital Transformation for Manufacturers Program was developed to help small- and medium-sized manufacturers (SMMEs) improve and accelerate digitization within their organizations.
Digitization — the application of enabling technologies to improve the performance of production (e.g., embedded intelligence, robotics); enterprise management (e.g., artificial intelligence); and supply-chain management (e.g., remote sensing) — has rapidly become a competitive differentiator among manufacturers.
The Digital Transformation for Manufacturers Program enables SMMEs to efficiently and effectively apply enabling technologies. Using the Digital Transformation for Manufacturers Program process will help SMMEs to: Assess their organizations’ level of digital maturity using the Digital Transformation for Manufacturers Assessment. Eliminate problems and constraints that limit digital performance.
Develop improvement plans to boost digital capabilities and performance. Collaborate with supplier and customer partners to speed operations, product development, and customer service. Build a foundation for continuous improvement of digital capabilities.
