This program aims to expand the availability of supportive services to victims of sex and labor trafficking throughout Ohio. The Office of Criminal Justice Services (OCJS) is a division of the Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS). By statute, OCJS is the lead justice planning and assistance office for the state, administering millions of dollars in state and federal criminal justice funding every year.
OCJS also evaluates programs and products, develops training, resources, and best practices for criminal justice professionals and communities. The Office of Criminal Justice Services also manages the Governor’s Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force.
In FY26/27, Governor Mike DeWine invested 4,531,000 in each fiscal year to support anti-human trafficking efforts in the areas of prosecution, victim services, assistance to child victims, and prevention and policy to implement the priorities of the Governor’s Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force. A portion of these funds will provide grants to nonprofit organizations to meet the service needs of victims of human trafficking.
