Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund is sponsored by Community Foundation of Texas Hill Country. Supports nonprofits helping residents move back into their homes, rebuild small businesses, and providing mental health and grief counseling after disasters.

## Texas Hill Country Flood Relief Fund The Texas Hill Country Flood Relief Fund supports immediate relief and long-term recovery for communities in the Community Foundation's service area affected by the July 2026 flooding. This fund is separate from the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund established following the July 2025 disaster.

Grants from the Fund will support nonprofit and civic organizations actively involved in response, relief, and recovery efforts. By partnering with trusted nonprofit organizations, we are directing resources to those providing emergency assistance, essential services, rebuilding efforts, and long-term support for our neighbors in need.

## Hope for the Guadalupe Fund The Hope for the Guadalupe Fund supports ecological restoration across the Guadalupe River Basin following the 2025 floods. Gifts to the Fund will help restore native landscapes, protect river health, support long-term conservation and strengthen the natural areas that are central to life in the Texas Hill Country.

Through this Fund, donors can help care for the river, the land and the communities that depend on them for generations to come. ## Uvalde County Flood Relief Fund The Uvalde County Flood Relief Fund supports relief and needs in the Uvalde area affected by the July 2026 flooding. Grants from the fund will support nonprofit and civic organizations actively involved in response, relief, and recovery efforts.

By partnering with trusted nonprofit organizations, we are directing resources to those providing emergency assistance, essential services, rebuilding efforts for our neighbors in need. ## Ada and Ken Muller Scholarship Fund The Ada and Ken Muller Scholarship Fund supports current and prior graduating students from high schools in Bandera, Kendall, and Kerr counties.

This Fund helps students with tuition expenses for college as well as trade or technical school. ## Ada Nan Muller Memorial Fund Benefit of the Early Learning Center of St. Mark Presbyterian Church, 208 W Bandera St, Boerne, TX.

To support the Alton Petsch Awards at Notre Dame School. Alton Petsch (1943-2022) attended St. Mary's Catholic School and Austin Business College.

He worked as an accountant for KHFI TV in Austin, Whelan Construction in Kerrville, and Notre Dame Church and School in Kerrville. He retired from St. Peter Upon the Water in 2018.

He was an Hononary Member of 50 years at the Knights of Columbus and the ACTS community. He was an avid bowler, sports referee, and umpire for many years. ## Arthur Nagel Community Clinic Endowment Fund The Arthur Nagel Community Clinic is Bandera County’s only charitable safety net health care organization for qualifying, low-income, uninsured residents age 12 and older.

The Clinic has held its endowment fund at the Community Foundation since 2021. Bandera County is one of 10 counties in the Community Foundation's service area. The Foundation grants funds to about 20 nonprofits in the county each year.

The Bandera County Fund is a general fund that accepts gifts from donors for the benefit of nonprofit organizations and community betterment in Bandera. The Fund can also receive gifts of stock or IRA distributions. Additionally, it can be named in an estate plan.

Please contact the Foundation for further details about these types of gifts to the Bandera County Fund. ## Bettie Sue Dunn Cummings Scholarship Fund The Bettie Sue Dunn Cummings Scholarship Fund’s mission is to provide scholarships for young women from rural areas in Texas who are pursuing a career path that will lead to their financial security.

Preference is given to applicants who express a desire to ‘pay it forward’ and improve the communities in which they live, and who exemplify good character, integrity, responsibility, and leadership. Blanco County is one of 10 counties in the Community Foundation's service area. The Foundation grants funds to several nonprofits in the county each year.

The Blanco County Fund is a general fund that accepts gifts from donors for the benefit of nonprofit organizations and community betterment in Blanco and Johnson City. The Fund can also receive gifts of stock or IRA distributions. Additionally, it can be named in an estate plan.

Please contact the Foundation for further details about these types of gifts to the Blanco County Fund. ## Boys & Girls Clubs of the Texas Hill Country Endowment Fund The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Texas Hill Country serves youth ages six to 18 at three locations: Boerne, Comfort, and Fredericksburg. Its after-school and summer programs provide a positive place for approximately 1,000 kids.

This endowment fund was established in 2010. ## Cathie Meadows Memorial Scholarship for Fine Arts Fund The Cathie Meadows Memorial Scholarship for Fine Arts supports the Performing and Fine Arts program of the Boerne Independent School District, with a focus on one-time scholarship awards for graduating seniors.

## Center Point Cemetery Association Fund Established in 2021 by the Walker family, the Fund supports the Center Point Cemetery Association in its upkeep and maintenance of the cemetery. Along with original settler families and local residents, there are more Texas Rangers buried in the Center Point Cemetery than in any other graveyard in Texas. All gifts to the Fund are endowed, and the cemetery receives an annual distribution.

The Fund accepts gifts of stock and IRA distributions; it can also be named as a beneficiary in an estate plan. ## Chris J Kaiser Memorial Scholarship Fund (Casa Uber Alles) This scholarship is offered to graduating Fredericksburg High School seniors in memory of craftsman and builder Chris J. Kaiser.

Casa Über Alles is a collaboration between the Hill Country Builders Association and the Fredericksburg High School Building Trades program. The program goal is to build one fully-functional, small concept home on the high school campus throughout the academic year. Casa Über Alles gives high school students the opportunity to work hands-on with industry experts and professionals.

These builder mentors assist the high school building trades teacher in providing students with real-world construction work experience and life skills. Chris Kaiser was a founding builder mentor of the program. ## Christian Assistance Ministry Endowment Fund The Kerr County Area Christian Assistance Ministry (CAM) was founded in 1987 by eight local churches.

The purpose was to centralize the assistance given to area residents in need. CAM provides food, clothing, and financial support for prescriptions and utilities to low-income families in Kerr County. CAM is supported through donations from local churches and other donors, and it has always been a volunteer-led agency.

## City of Fredericksburg Animal Shelter Endowed Fund To benefit the animal shelter in Gillespie County to be used in carrying out the general charitable purposes of the shelter.

## CME Church of Gillespie County Endowment Fund The Fund benefits the restoration, maintenance, and future improvements of the CME Church of Gillespie County, a historically Black congregation, also known historically as the Church of the Colored People of Gillespie County. The Christian Methodist Episcopal Church was built in 1897.

Members of the congregation erected a simple frame structure, with its small steeple, atop a native limestone foundation. Descendants of the original congregation are currently spearheading restoration efforts. To support the Kerrville Convention and Visitors Bureau Community Art Program which implements a wide range of art in public places.

## Der Stadtische Friedhof Fredericksburg Fund Support of the charitable purposes of maintenance, upkeep, expansion, enhancement and the general improvement of the grounds of the Der Stadtische Friedhof (City Cemetery) Fredericksburg, Texas, specifically to provide for maintenance and repair and restoration of monuments, headstones and grave markers therein that are of historic or architectural significance to the community.

## Donna and Dan Magee Charitable Fund This Fund was created by members of Kerrville First United Methodist Church to celebrate Donna and Dan Magee. Members of the congregation have donated to the fund to honor Donna's retirement in 2022. The Fund supports causes important to the Magee Family.

Dan passed away in 2023. Edwards County is one of 10 counties in the Community Foundation's service area. The Edwards County Fund is a general fund that accepts gifts from donors for the benefit of nonprofit organizations and community betterment in Rocksprings, Barksdale, Camp Wood, and Carta Valley.

## FISD Education Foundation Fund To benefit the FISD Education Foundation ## Fredericksburg Academic Boosters Fund To support the Fredericks Academic Boosters. ## Fredericksburg Book Festival Endowment Fund This endowed fund makes an annual distribution to the Friends of the Written Word, a Fredericksburg-based nonprofit that hosts the Fredericksburg Book Festival.

## Fredericksburg Dog Park Association Endowment Fund The City of Fredericksburg and the Fredericksburg Dog Park Association created a city dog park within Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park in 2018. The five-acre dog park is adjacent to Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park can accommodate both large and small canines.

This Fund, established by Dr. Alive White in 2015 in honor of the three Rotary Clubs in Fredericksburg, makes an annual distribution to the Fredericksburg Dog Park Association. The Fund can receive gifts of stock and IRA distributions, nd it can also be named as a beneficiary in an estate plan.

## Fredericksburg Fire EMS Department Housing Fund Established in 2026, the Fredericksburg Fire/EMS Department Housing Fund supports qualified Fire/EMS personnel with access to affordable housing. The Fund was created through a partnership between the City of Fredericksburg and the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country.

Grants from the Fund provide housing support for eligible Fire/EMS staff, strengthening the department’s ability to help recruit and retain essential public safety personnel. ## Fredericksburg Firefighter Relief Fund Established in 2021, the Relief Fund benefits any Gillespie County volunteer firefighters injured in the line of duty. The Fund was started with a generous gift from a local family whose life was saved by volunteer firefighters. In addition to an online gift, donors can make gifts of stock and IRA distributions.

Please contact the Foundation for further details about these types of gifts to the Gillespie County Fund. ## Glockenspiel Bell Tower Raising funds for the construction of a 45 ft tall Glockenspiel Bell Tower in Marktplatz. It is to be constructed of Hill Country limestone and house 38 Bronze Bells to be cast in Belgium.

Additionally, the tower will have up to 12 moving figurines, with several “shows” daily to the sound of our bells. ## Good Samaritan Center Endowment Fund Founded in 1992, the Good Samaritan Center provides medical, dental, and mental health needs for low-income and uninsured residents in Gillespie County and surrounding areas. This Fund supports the ongoing needs of the Center.

Over 80% of its annual expense are supported by local donors. ## Gretchen Broun Stacy Camp Scholarship Fund ## HCDJLSA Endowment Fund Hill Country District Junior Livestock Show Association endowment fund accepts public donations. ## Hill Country Auto Tech Fund Supports aspiring students in launching their automotive careers by providing recipients with professional-grade tool carts and complete tool sets.

The Fund also supports apprenticeships alongside local repair shops and Schreiner University. ## Hill Country Camp Recovery Fund The Hill Country Camp Recovery Fund supports West Kerr County camps in their long road to recovery from the flood. All camps in West Kerr County are eligible for support from the Fund.

## Hill Country CASA Fund Established in 1989, Hill Country CASA is dedicated to advocating for the best interests of children from Kerr, Kendall, Bandera, and Gillespie counties who are in foster care due to abuse or neglect. Our trained, court-appointed volunteers provide a consistent voice in court while connecting children and families with vital community resources.

Through compassionate advocacy, education, and collaborative outreach, we work to ensure every child finds safety, stability, and the opportunity to thrive. ## Hill Country Community Needs Council Endowment Fund The Needs Council supports low-income families in Gillespie County. ## Hill Country Crisis Council Endowment Fund An endowment for family violence victims. ## Ingram's First Thursday Group Fund Supports community and economic development in West Kerr County.

## Jacob Krebs Memorial Youth Hunt Fund This fund supports the annual Jacob Krebs Memorial Youth Hunt in the Harper, Texas area. ## Karolyn Kolb Martinez "Excellence in Nursing" Memorial Scholarship Fund This scholarship was established in memory of Karolyn Kolb Martinez, a registered nurse for 32 years. Karolyn was passionate about educating nurses and those working to become nurses.

Karolyn's family honors her legacy by providing scholarships to nursing students who display the same high standards for nursing excellence, care, and compassion Karolyn demonstrated. ## Keep West Kerr Beautiful Fund The Keep West Kerr Beautiful Fund supports beautification efforts in Ingram and Hunt. Donations are fully tax deductible.

In 2024, the Fund is being utilized to raise funds to Light the Y in Ingram for the holiday season. Let's light the Y! Kendall County is one of 10 counties in the Community Foundation's service area.

The Foundation grants funds to about 25 nonprofits in the county each year. The Kendall County Fund is a general fund that accepts gifts from donors for the benefit of nonprofit organizations and community betterment in Boerne, Comfort, Kendalia, Sisterdale, and Waring. In 2023, the Fund collected public donations to purchase a 6x6 all-terrain vehicle for water rescue and wildland fire fighting. Gifts of stock and IRA distributions can be made to the Fund; in addition, the Fund can be named in an estate plan. ## Kerrville First Responders Fund The Kerrville Public Safety Facility is under construction and is expected to be completed in fall 2025.

Guardian Plaza will host ceremonies for fallen first responders, graduations, and retirements. We would like to invite you to support this project with a tax-deductible donation. The memorial will include two life-sized statues of fire and police responders, crafted with community and law enforcement input.

Plans also include benches, flag poles, and shade structures, with an estimated cost of $300,000.

## Kerrville Parks and Recreation Foundation Fund The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Foundation, in partnership with the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, supports the ongoing needs of our community’s parks system, including flood recovery efforts, community events and programs, and other vital projects that enhance Kerrville’s quality of life.

## Kerrville Police Department Foundation Fund For the charitable benefit of the Kerrville Police Department. ## Kerrville Urban Trail System Fund The KUTS initiative promotes pedestrian improvements in downtown Kerrville. It's a grassroots effort of local businesses, organizations, and City leadership to develop walkability, vibrancy, and cohesion in Kerrville.

Kimble County is one of 10 counties in the Community Foundation's service area. The Foundation grants funds to several nonprofits in the county each year. The Kimble County Fund is a general fund that accepts gifts from donors for the benefit of nonprofit organizations and community betterment in Junction and surrounding areas.

## Makenna Lee Elrod Foundation Fund In memory of Makenna Lee Elrod, who was killed May 24, 2022, at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde. This scholarship will support Uvalde High School graduates pursuing their dreams through education. ## Marianne Love Duke Remschel Foundation Fund Fund created in honor of Marianne Love Duke Remschel for the benefit of nonprofits in the Texas Hill Country and beyond.

Riley grew up singing in the Children's Chorale and acting in the Fredericksburg Theater Company productions. In high school, Riley was a dedicated member of the FHS marching and jazz bands and a passionate actor in the FHS theater program. He was also lead guitarist in a local band formed with his friends.

Riley's family and loved ones want his zest for life and love of the arts to continue to shine through students who receive this scholarship. ## Riverside Nature Center Endowment Fund Riverside Nature Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is a homegrown organization with its roots deeply embedded in the community. Founded in 1989, the center has been serving the community for more than a quarter of a century.

Our purpose is simple: to advance the stewardship of our natural environment, yet the task is immense. By focusing our messages and lessons on Texas Hill Country environmental concerns, we are able to foster best practices in our own backyard, which leads to a greater global awareness. More than 13,000 visitors enjoy the Nature Center each year.

Without donations, the nature center would not be able to flourish and grow. Thank you for donating and helping us keep the Hill Country a healthy and diverse habitat for all. ## Rotary District 5840 Endowed Fund ## Sabinal Public Library Fund To support the needs of Sabinal Public Library.

## Shirlee Proffit Special Education Fund Shirlee was a passionate educator who impacted many lives throughout her 31 years of service. She served her community as a loving teacher, diagnostician, special education supervisor, and counselor. This fund supports the Kerrville ISD Special Education Department.

## Sisterhood for Good - Fredericksburg ## Spannagel Vocational Education Scholarship Fund The Spannagel Vocational Education Scholarship was created to honor the lasting legacies of Billy Wayne Spannagel, a vocational educator with over 35 years of service, and his son, Dale Robin Spannagel, a certified aircraft maintenance technician.

This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating student from Kerr County who has been accepted into a vocational training program, with preference given to applicants pursuing certification in an aviation mechanics program. STANDING OVATION FUND GOAL: $28,000 This Fund supports the $28,000 matching campaign for the Arcadia Live. The campaign runs from October 15th through December 31st, and all gifts are matched dollar for dollar!

## Texas Lions Camp Endowment Fund ## Trustee's Achievement Fund This fund was created to allow current and former trustees of the Community Foundation to make contributions to the fund. They can contribute to this in lieu of creating their own fund . Uvalde County is one of 10 counties in the Community Foundation's service area.

The Foundation grants funds to about 15 nonprofits in the county each year. The Uvalde County Fund is a general fund that accepts gifts from donors for the benefit of nonprofit organizations and community betterment in Concan, Knippa, Sabinal, Utopia, and Uvalde. The Fund can also receive gifts of stock or IRA distributions.

The fund supports community organizations and civic projects that support healing from the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School on May 24, 2022. An Advisory Committee - comprised of Uvalde residents - meets on a quarterly basis to direct grants. ## Vic Vaughan Family Foundation Fund Hill Country Strong: Standing Together Through the Storm On July 4, 2025, our beloved Kerr County faced an unimaginable tragedy.

A catastrophic flash flood surged through the region, with the Guadalupe River rising over 26 feet in just 45 minutes. Homes, businesses, and summer camps were devastated in its wake. Among the most heart-wrenching losses was at Camp Mystic in Hunt, a cherished Christian girls’ camp where several cabins were swept away.

Our hearts are broken. Countless lives have been lost, and many more remain unaccounted for. Families are grieving, homes are gone, and livelihoods have been shattered.

But even in this darkest hour, the strength of our community shines through. At the Vic Vaughan Family Foundation, in conjunction with the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, a 501 (c) (3), we are committed to supporting those affected by this disaster. We are mobilizing resources to provide immediate relief and long-term support to families who have suffered unbearable loss.

Your donations will go directly toward supplying food, clothing, shelter, and vital aid as our neighbors begin the long road to healing and rebuilding. ## Window of Opportunity Scholarship Fund Scholarships for Fredericksburg High School or FHS Alternative School graduates or graduating senior who meets scholarship criteria and apply through the general application process of the Community Foundation.
