ORG HomeMember Resource Center Disaster Relief Grant Program # Disaster Relief Grant Program Disaster Relief Grants focus on empowering Lions to respond swiftly and effectively when natural disasters strike. These grants provide critical support for relief efforts in communities impacted by hurricanes, floods, fires and other catastrophic events.
By offering essential resources, Lions can help rebuild lives and ensure those affected receive the immediate assistance they need during every stage of recovery. ### Applications and deadlines #### Disaster Preparedness Grant The Disaster Preparedness Grant supports districts in partnering with local authorities and community organizations to plan and prepare for future relief efforts following natural disasters.
Grants range from US$5,000 to US$15,000, with applications accepted on a rolling basis. The Emergency Grant funds Lion-led service activities that support immediate and short-term relief efforts to victims of natural disasters. Grants range from US$5,000 to US$15,000, with applications accepted on a rolling basis.
#### Major Catastrophe Grants Major Catastrophe Grants support long-term reconstruction projects following large-scale natural disasters with significant international impact. These grants are awarded at the discretion of the international president and the LCIF chairperson and cannot be applied for by Lions. They provide substantial funding to address the most severe catastrophes.

With support from an LCIF Major Catastrophe Grant, Lions quickly mobilized to provide emergency aid including food, clean water, medical supplies and shelter.
