The Distance Learning and Telemedicine (DLT) Program provides grants to help rural communities use advanced telecommunications technology for distance learning and telemedicine, overcoming the effects of remoteness and low population density.
Grant funds can be used to purchase or support audio, video, and interactive video equipment, broadband facilities (up to a certain percentage), computer hardware, network components, software, instructional programming, and limited technical assistance.
